Join us on Sunday 5th July for WoodFest100, a special outdoor community day at Northwood Recreation Ground, celebrating 100 years of Northwood Football Club.

This is set to be one of the highlights of our Centenary Year, a relaxed, fun, family-friendly event bringing together the whole community for a day of entertainment, activity and connection.

Whether you’re coming with family, meeting friends, or just enjoying a summer day outdoors, WoodFest100 is all about celebrating everything that makes Northwood such a great place to live.

Event Details

📅 Date: Sunday 5th July
⏰ Time: 10:00am – 5:00pm
📍 Location: Northwood Recreation Ground, Chestnut Avenue, Northwood, HA6 1HR

We encourage visitors to walk or use public transport as Chestnut Avenue will be closed for traffic that day.

🎪 What’s On

There will be something for everyone throughout the day, including:

🎶 Live music stage

🧺 Picnic area

🐶 Dog show

⚽ Youth football displays

🥋 Martial arts demonstrations

🏏 Cricket match on the back field

🎈 Children’s activities and entertainment

🛍️ Local stalls and traders

🏃‍♂️ Community fun run

The day is designed to be relaxed and inclusive - come for an hour or stay all day.
 

WoodFest100 will also host the finale of our Northwood100 Fitness Challenge, where participants have been completing:

100 laps (children)

100km (adults)

The day will bring everyone together to celebrate their achievements, with the final stages completed as part of the event.

❤️ Supporting a Local Charity

WoodFest100 is also raising funds for Mount Vernon Cancer Centre Charity, with a focus on the Lynda Jackson Centre, based right here in Northwood.

The centre provides vital support to people affected by cancer, including:

- Emotional and wellbeing support

- Counselling services

- Practical help for patients and families

By attending and supporting the event, you’ll also be helping to make a real difference locally.
